The role involves supporting the Revenue Solicitor in delivering high-quality legal services. These services span various areas, including tax law, criminal law, commercial law, administrative law, EU law, and more.

The Principal Solicitor/Barrister role involves leading a high-performance legal team in the provision of legal advice and in the conduct and management of litigation and dispute resolution on behalf of Revenue across the following practice areas:

• complex and high value tax appeal cases
• complex litigation before the Superior Courts
• summary and indictable prosecutions
• commercial and insolvency law
• tax, customs and excise law
• property, equity and trust law

Be enrolled or be entitled to be enrolled with the Law Society of Ireland to practice as a solicitor in the State.

OR

Have been called to the Bar of Ireland or entitled to be called to the Bar of Ireland.

AND

Have acquired a minimum of five years’ relevant post-qualification experience providing legal advice or representation in areas such as tax, customs, revenue law, civil or criminal litigation, or other relevant fields.

AND

Have recent experience leading or managing legal or multidisciplinary teams

AND

Have recent senior level experience working on complex legal matters, including litigation, prosecutions, or tax appeal cases.
